Eerie — LA with No Traffic
This series of car-less highways and streets in the Los Angeles area is the brainchild of photographer Tom Baker. When we’re down there next week it’ll be just like this, right?

There’s lots of fun Sesame Street stuff showing up around the 40th anniversary of everyone’s favorite kid’s show. Once I got over searching out musicians who had made guest appearances on Sesame Street, I stumbled upon this funny collection of Muppet doppelgangers on ohnotheydidnt. Some of them are quite striking.
Take a look…
what i am looking for is:
compound bow
cash
2003 impala parts
3-4 story ferret cage

Now that this person has planted the idea in my head, I want a 3 or 4 story ferret cage too! I’m not sure what’s funnier, that the second item he’s looking to trade for is cash (not really a trade anymore, is it?) or that just about everything he has to offer just needs “a little work”. The scary part is since Sebastopol isn’t all that big, I probably know this person.
Thanks, Peter!
Everyone knows Sesame Street rocks, but here’s a reminder of just how hard. I found this sweet Smokey Robinson clip on one of my favorite music blogs, Soul Sides, and if you think this is as awesome as I do you should definitely take a trip through this comment stream on Soul Strut, where many of the most soulful musical performances from Sesame Street are highlighted.
Stevie Wonder? Herbie Hancock? Dizzy Gillespie? Richard Pryor?!? Trust me on this one, click through now.
This is a really nice collection of jellyfish photos taken by Italian photographer Guido Mocafico. Actually, all of his galleries are worth a look, I quite liked his snake photos too.
